There are many negative effects of dehydration including fatigue, hunger, headache, constipation, kidney problems, decreased urine output, low blood pressure, mental confusion and trouble focusing to name a few. Water is a key factor in maintaining good health. Water helps move nutrients through and waste out of the body. It protects cells as they move through blood and lubricates other organs such as the eyes and mouth. Drinking water helps maintain the balance of body fluids. Try to drink at least eight 8-ounce glasses of fluid a day. Be sure to drink water before and after exercising. If you don’t like water try adding your own natural flavors such as lemon, lime, mint or cucumber. To help get into a routine always carry a water bottle with you when your out or at work.
